I stumbled upon a very interesting video on Youtube. Here I am, supposed to be studying for my economics exam and I am wasting my time - like 12 million other people - watching a video of a kid "freaking out". At first, I found it rather amusing. Especially when he gives himself the remote enema (you will just have to watch the video). Whether or not the video is real is inconsequential. The real question is the underlying psychological implications of the video. The kid is obviously deranged. Amazing to see what an over stimulated, sugarholic teenager can become. Video game addiction is serious. Saying it was an overreaction is an understatement. The kid really does, by definition, freak out. It is unlike anything I have ever seen. The kid is absolutely devastated because he no longer can play his computer game. At first, amusing; rather comical. Then I started looking into the background of this child. I found the subscription page of the brother who had been publishing the videos. Tons of videos showing the freak out kid. The brother recording the videos was actually provoking the freak out kid to freak out. His parents weren't much help either. Not only were they very vocal, but they lacked discipline and threatened him when he was misbehaving. After four or five videos, the amusement wore off. I felt sorry for the kid. Bad parenting had once again reared its ugly head. What a travesty. Not to say the kid wasn't responsible for his actions; he was. He was pushed in an unhealthy direction. Kind of makes me worry about the future generation. How are we going to deal with people that are not well adjusted? It becomes a little more serious when he acts on his empty threats and hurts someone. Maybe then someone will take notice. From my experience, some people never learn. Chances are, he won't. My advice: quit having children! Quit perpetuating this gene pool! Purge the world of Idiocracy!
